The Status of OECD guidelines regarding regulatory compliance of 2D materials: a case study of graphene

Resumo

Os testes regulatórios de grafeno e outros materiais bidimensionais (2D) apresentam desafios significativos devido às propriedades físico-químicas únicas desses materiais. As Diretrizes de Teste (TGs) e os Documentos de Orientação (GDs) da OCDE existentes foram desenvolvidos principalmente para produtos químicos convencionais e frequentemente não abordam as especificidades dos materiais 2D. Essas especificidades decorrem de suas estruturas atomicamente finas e em camadas, além do confinamento quântico em uma dimensão. Este artigo fornece uma visão geral crítica do status atual da aplicabilidade das diretrizes da OCDE para o grafeno e propõe direções futuras para a harmonização das abordagens de testes regulatórios a fim de garantir a segurança e a conformidade.
